Hi Laura! This is Heather Z & the hammock is a smashing success! Julia slept the whole night! First night doing that! I have another family member that would like to purchase a hammock too...she just needs to pick-out the color she wants. Will I be able to get that hammock at the same price? Also I was wondering if you gave any thought to letting me purchase future hammocks at a wholesale cost and selling them to people around my area? I would never sell online. I just would like to be able to promote this healthier alternative to a crib to anyone who would want to purchase one. I know when I'm at my vacation home this summer that there are going to be people stopping by all the time asking what Julia is sleeping in (it's in a large gated vacation community where everyone drives around in golf carts to visit neighbors. I feel like I could make a huge difference in the lives of many parents & their babies! I would never consider selling these if I wasn't 100% convinced that this hammock does what it claims to do. I am convinced that this should be out-selling cribs...but Americans have been raised to believe that the bassinet and then crib is the only way for a baby/child to sleep in. I also think Americans can be close minded until someone shows them firsthand that there is another and more healthier alternative for a newborn/baby/toddler to sleep! So I am very excited that you are considering letting me work under you. I would be so proud to sell these. Well I've babbled enough. I hope your son is okay! We are a family of nurses so if you ever have any ?'s that you would like to ask me feel free. I worked in labor/delivery for over 3 yrs. Thanks for the speedy response and the personal attention. I am excited to purchase my baby's bed from you.
I do teach at a hospital and also teach privately for a birthing center. I am somewhat restricted to what I can officially endorse, but I can definitely give parents ideas because getting their babies to sleep is one of the biggest concerns they express. I am also a massage therapist and will be doing a fair amount of infant massage and that is another opportunity to give them ideas on how to calm and soothe with the hammock beds. Also, I see that you have on your site that you sell cloth diapers. I am trying cloth for the very first time...(I have two other children). So I can mention you that way as well.

Differences between the Computerized Baby Hammock Versus the Portable Automatic Self Rocking Baby Hammock?

You are probably wondering what is the differences between the Computerized Baby Hammock Versus the Portable Automatic Self Rocking Baby Hammock? Which is better for you and your baby or is there a difference?

First of all, some of you may not even know what is a computerized or portable automamtic self rocking baby hammock? Basically, a baby hammock is like basically a hammock but designed for babies to mimic being in mama's womb. You could buy the baby hammock that is what we call the manual version, whereby it is either there is no movement or you have to rock the hammock up and down before it moves. But mama doesn't stand still all the time, most of the time, mama is busy walking up and down or doing something and therefore there is movement. So, in order to mimic mama's womb 100%, you will need this computerized baby hammock or the portable automated baby hammock.

The functionality is the same for both. I have created a chart so that you can see the comparison. Basically, as a summary, if you would like a unit that you just put at home, then, I would suggest that you get the Computerized Baby Hammock. If you plan to travel or pack up and bring the hammock to grandma's house, then, you should get the Portable Automatic Baby Hammock. One thing that the portable automatic baby hammock has is that if you put the timer for 30 mins, after 30 mins, the hammock will stop rocking but once it detects movement, it will continue rocking for another 30 mins. That is why it is called the self rocking baby hammock. Though, it will go up to 36lbs, so, if you want to put your baby for more than that weight, then, the computerized baby hammock will work from you.

I happen to have the opportunity to babysit my nephew on a weekend, so, I have a few pictures of the boys sleeping in the hammocks. My son, 30 months old is in the computerized baby hammock and nephew, 22 months old at the time when this picture was taken is sleeping in the portable automated self rocking baby hammock. and on my left, I have a MamaLittleHelper's cloth diaper but this is with 2 diaper inserts. You may be wondering, why 2 inserts?





























It is good especially when you go out & would like to ensure that the diaper will not leak because sometimes, it may be hard to find a place to change your baby, so, our advise is to use 2 inserts when you are on the go.




























We did some research online to find out how much does baby urine. According to a lactation consultant website, a healthy baby less than 6 weeks should have about 5-6+ wet diapers, each approximately (45ml), which is equivalent to 1.5oz




























As for babies over 6 weeks, we should expect about 4-5 wet diapers. Each wet diapers about 90ml, which is equivalent to 3oz.




























So, we will pour several 4oz of water on the diaper since this is a 4oz milk bottle to see how many oz of water can our diaper take.




























We did 5 times of 4oz for the one on the right to be filled.




























The one on the right with one insert started to leak a little on the side but NOT in the middle. You can see with the paper towel that we put below the diaper.



























We continued with the 2 inserts and found that it can take a least 24 oz or more.



























So, to conclude, it takes about 20oz of water to fill up the 1 insert and at least 24 oz of water to fill up the 2 inserts. So, do you still think you have doubts about MamaLittleHelper's Diapers?
